Karan Suchak to play grown-up Bajirao in Peshwa Bajirao

TV show Peshwa Bajirao will soon have a new actor portraying the character of Bajirao, as the show takes a nine-year leap.

Actor Karan Suchak has been finalised for the role of grown-up Bajirao.

TV show Peshwa Bajirao is based on the life of first Peshwa of Chhatrapati Shahu, who was the courageous son of Radhabai and Balaji Vishwanath.

Until now, child actor Rudra Soni has been essaying the role of Bajirao. However as the show will be taking a nine year leap, actor Karan Suchak will portray the role of grown-up Bajirao.

Actor Karan Suchak will be portraying the titular role in the show.

Peshwa Bajirao was known for his wits, his powerful speech that motivated and gives strength to his army. For the role, the makers wanted someone who can do justice to the role. Reportedly, many popular name such as actors Mrunal Jain, Niketaan Dheer, Pearl V Puri, Harshad Arora and others were also being considered.

Karan says, “It gives me immense pride and excitement to play Bajirao. The role is full of responsibilities and as an actor I’m aware of it and would love to work and fulfil viewers’ expectations.”

Karan has done many popular shows such as Mahabharat (portrayed Dhrishtadhyumna), Maharakshak: Devi (was seen as Narada/Inspector Narayan), and Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (was seen as Sambhav Malik).
