Playing God on screen can be an intimidating task for an actor but Rajneesh Duggal, 32, says he’s totally enjoying it. The ex-supermodel and actor will play Lord Ram on Life OK’s Ram Leela, a five-week special musical, that goes on air on Sunday, and has actor Ajay Devgn as the Sutradhar.

“Playing Ram is a cool feeling. I’m a believer myself. But, I’m trying to essay Ram as a normal human being... it will be theatrical, but I’m trying to keep it mellow,” says Duggal, whose last stint on silver screen was Karisma Kapoor’s comeback vehicle, Dangerous Ishhq.

So, has he swapped big screen with small? “Not at all. I’m shooting for a film that will release in March. But, I took up Ramleela because it has a short duration, and the idea of having Ram Leela on TV was brilliant,” says Duggal, who remembers celebrating Diwali in Delhi at his nani’s house in Faridabad.
