Quantico star Priyanka Chopra has made it to the final nomination in the Favourite Actress in a New TV Series category of People’s Choice Awards 2016.

The 33-year-old Mary Kom star, who has made it to the top five, will be competing with big names like Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Marcia Gay Harden and Lia Michele.

“Wow my first nomination for #Quantico... Feel like a true debutante again. Thank u @peopleschoice fingers crossed,” Priyanka tweeted the voting link.

In her debut American TV thriller Quantico the Gunday star plays the lead role of a young FBI recruit Alex Parish.

The news of her being one of 15 actresses vying for a final nomination in the category came last month.

This is the first nomination the former Miss World has earned for the show.

“My first nomination for #quantico. Only six episodes in. Let the voting begin.#pcas,” she wrote.

Apart from her, the show has also bagged the final nomination in the Favourite New TV Drama category.

“Double whammy! #Quantico nominated too! Yay,” Priyanka posted.

Quantico has also received an order for six more episodes from ABC.
