He is busy learning Indian classical music from a Kolkata-based teacher Rinku Dasgupta.

He decided to try his hand at singing to market himself better as he'd found out through a survey that people had a stereotyped image about him.

However, Rajeev has not been sitting idle all this while. He has started working on an English play Wedding Album. It is written by Girish Karnad and produced by Lillette Dubey. Wedding Album is the story of an educated and modern family. The team has been going to different cities with the play.
