Gaurav Khanna enjoys acting in soaps.. and is hoping to get into the reality scene too. That explains why he was playing anchor at a recently held women’s achievers award night.

Khanna, who was the red carpet host, took a few digs at the assembled celebrities. Did it earn him any frowns? “Red carpet events are a new concept in India.. and it was fun taking jabs at celebs who were already nervous about the awards,” Khanna smiles.

The actor is now keen to shake a leg at one of the dance reality shows on TV. Buzz is that he might be doing a jig with Nach Baliye winner Shaleen Bhanot at the Dancing Queen finale.

End to end
Khanna doesn’t confirm the news. “I’m yet to speak to the producers. But dancing is something I’m really eager to do.. I don’t know about Dancing Queen but a nach gaana show is most welcome,” he says.

Khanna is a little disappointed that his Star Plus daily, Santaan, is wrapping up this month. “I hate the idea of losing Shubh. But Santaan has had a 250-episode run.. we have been on air for over a year. So, it’s not all that bad,” Khanna says.

He adds that it is the right time to conclude the daily because all the characters are finally happy. Even his role in Jeevan Saathi was cut short, but Khanna has put the past behind him. Ask him about it and all he says is, “All good things have to come to an end.”
