This could kill the suspense for those waiting to watch
Ratan Ka Rishta
, the third season of Imagine’s Swayamvar show, inspired by Bachelor/Bachelorette. We’ve been tipped by reliable sources that Abhimanyu Singh, 25, from Mumbai, holding a family business in Uttarakhand, Gaurav Jaggal, 28, jewellery designer-trader from Delhi, Pradeep Babbar, 26, assistant professor at Punjab College of Enginnering and event promoter Shoaib Hussain Sabri, 25, from Delhi are the four finalists of the wedding contest that kick starts on Monday in the prime time slot.
Earlier this month, we informed you who the top 16 contenders were, and it’s said that actor Ratan Rajput, popularly called Laali, the name of her character in the Zee TV daily
Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo
, is exceptionally close Abhimanyu and chances are that whether the wedding takes place in June-July or not, the aforementioned participant is expected to get the garland from the bride-to-be.
Meanwhile, Ratan, it’s said, has visited the homes and met the families of the four finalists. We’ve been told by our sources that she’s also been speaking to her family, friends and colleagues for suggestions for the big day that’s just around the corner now.
The first season of the show featured Rakhi Sawant, who chose Elesh Parujanwala from Canada as the groom-to-be. The duo exchanged rings on national TV, but the relationship was called off a couple of months later, soon after they participated in a reality show. The last season saw late politician Pramod Mahajan’s son, Rahul, wed Kolkata-based model Soumashree, better known as Dimpy Ganguly. The couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary in the city recently. It’s rumoured that Ratan may take either go the Rakhi route and only choose her groom, or get engaged now, and wed on a future date. We’ll have to wait to find that out!
