Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar

. And if the buzz is to be believed, Harshit Saxena and Rahul Vaidya can’t stand each other. Vaidya, a former contestant of

Indian Idol Two

, is supposedly jealous of Saxena, a former

Star Voice of India

contestant and his increasing popularity. Obviously the singer denies this: “I’m a crowd-puller too, so why should I be jealous of Harshit?”

Jealousy?
The problem reportedly began when Vaidya insisted on reading his fan mail on stage. Saxena retorted saying they were there to showcase their musical talent, not reflect in their glory. Soon after, one of Saxena’s fans came on stage while he was performing and gave him a kiss. Vaidya apparently reacted strongly to this display of affection, which was later deleted from the telecast. When confronted, Vaidya says he had simply laughed it off and rued the fact that he didn’t have such effusive fans.

Critical chatter
Saxena criticises Vaidya for giving flowers to anchor Mandira Bedi and judge Farah Khan on stage and singing songs for them. Vaidya’s close pal on the show, Vineet Singh, agrees that the duo aren’t on the best of terms. It all began when Vaidya cracked a joke which Saxena didn’t appreciate, says Singh. Vaidya however, has the last word: “I can’t be expected to get along with everyone.”
