Popular TV show from the 90s, that also marked onscreen debut of Vidya Balan, Hum Paanch, is all set to return for a third season.
After Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Hum Paanch, a 90s sitcom, is set to be renewed with a “modern twist”. The new series will reportedly have an entirely new cast and crew.
Set to be produced by Essel Vision Pvt Ltd, the show is likely to go on air in May.
A Times of India report quoted a source as saying, “We will retain all the intrinsic elements and the format, but will give it a modern spin. The production house is in the process of finalising the cast, which will comprise new faces.”
Hum Paanch was first aired in 1995 and ran until 1999. The series returned for a second season in 2005 and ran until mid-2006. It starred Vidya Balan, Shoma Anand, Ashok Saraf, Rakhee Tandon, Bhairavi Raichura and Vandana Pathak.
