Twitter reacts to Michael Phelps gold-winning spree at Rio 2016

Fans, celebrities and past and present sport stars all joined in to celebrate Michael Phelps wins on Wednesday.

Soon after Michael Phelps added his 20th and 21st Olympic gold medals on Tuesday, Twitter went abuzz, as congratulatory messages and adulation poured in. The 200 metre butterfly gold medal was followed by another win after he anchored USA team to a win in the 4x200 freestyle gold medal.

It was celebrated by fans, celebrities and past and present sport stars while few even took a dig at South African Chad Le Clos, the 2012 Olympics winner in the 200m butterfly, who was beaten by Phelps on Tuesday.
