Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by 46 runs in Chennai. Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock got the Mumbai Indians off to a decent start with a 24-run opening stand. Evin Lewis and Rohit Sharma laid the platform for MI with a 75-run partnership. Rohit Sharma, who scored 67 runs from 48 balls, notched his first half-century of this IPL season. Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard scored 17 runs in the 20th over as Mumbai Indians posted a total of 155/4. Krunal Pandya tilted the match completely in Mumbai's favour with the wickets of Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav. The Chennai Super Kings kept losing wickets at regular intervals before they were bowled out for 109 runs.
