A controversy has erupted just days after 'Tandav' was released on Amazon Prime Video. Police was deployed outside actor Saif Ali Khan's Mumbai house after multiple Bharatiya Janata Party leaders levelled accusations against the show. BJP MLA Ram Kadam filed a complaint with the police while tweeting that the show must remove scenes which insult Hindu god Shiv. His party colleague Manoj Kotak asked the government to ban 'Tandav' and also start regulating OTT content. BJP's Kapil Mishra claimed that the show is anti-Dalit and fans Hindu-Muslim tension.
