Russia has scrapped several post-Cold War military pacts with European countries as the war in Ukraine escalates. The government authorized the Defence Ministry to withdraw from bilateral military agreements on December 20. The move was formalized through an order published on Russia’s official legal portal. These agreements were originally signed between 1992 and 2002, following the end of the Cold War.
