EU's hypocrite X-Mas feast: As Ukraine burns, Brussels spends hundreds of millions in Russian fish?

Russian fish exports, especially cod and Alaska pollock, continued to reach EU consumers around Christmas, despite sweeping sanctions on Moscow that largely spared most food products and basic seafood. While Brussels talked tough about cutting economic ties with Russia, only a narrow list of high-end fishery goods such as caviar, its substitutes and some crustaceans was actually banned, leaving the bulk of fish trade intact.
