Israel has reportedly offered Hamas a two-month truce in exchange for release of all remaining prisoners in Gaza. Two Israeli officials told Axios that the Israeli war cabinet approved the parameters of the proposed deal that also includes release of significant Palestinian prisoners. Hamas has maintained that it does not want a temporary ceasefire but rather a comprehensive halt to the war.
