The Russian ambassador to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, hit out at the US-led Western alliance for bombing Yemen. On January 11, US and UK militaries launched airstrikes, targeting sites of Iran-backed Houthis. The US also launched fresh airstrikes on Houthis in Yemen on January 12, targeting its radar site.
