Rohit Sharma guides India to victory in World Cup opener against South Africa
In their first game of the tournament, India beat South Africa in style. The Proteas won the toss and chose to bat first, but their top order collapsed and they managed to reach a score of 227 in 50 overs, mainly thanks to all-rounder Chris Morris. India opener Rohit Sharma guided India to victory, scoring his 23rd One Day International century, and second World Cup ton, in the process. India won by six wickets with 15 balls to spare.
