The aerial visuals of flooded Kalady shows the critical condition of the state. The India Meteorological Department forecast on Saturday afternoon that widespread rains, with heavy rains at isolated places, is likely to continue over Kerala following low pressure area very likely to develop over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood during the next 24 hours. The death toll in Kerala Monsoon has risen to 200, and to 344 overall this monsoon season, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Friday calling it a 'grave' situation. In the wake of the prevailing crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kerala yesterday to take stock of the situation.
