After West Bengal, doctors’ protest spreads to other states; patients suffer

Days after junior doctors in West Bengal went on strike to protest an assault on a doctor by relatives of a patient who had died, peers from hospitals in other states joined them. Services in hospitals like All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad were hit with doctors demanding better security. Even the Indian Medical Association backed them by calling for an 'All India Protest Day'.
