A swelling Brahmaputra river washed away a primary school building in Assam's flood-hit Morigaon. The mishap, in Tengaguri area, was caught on camera. Over 8 lakh people have been affected by flooding in over 21 of Assam's 33 districts. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting to take stock of the situation in flood-hit areas. He instructed officials to take 'every possible measure' to deal with the situation and extend necessary help to affected areas.
