CAA row: PM Modi seeks standing ovation for MPs; claims no bias by govt

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a mega rally in the heart of the national capital on Sunday. The speech came amid protracted protests against the recent amendments to India's Citizenship law. Seeking to counter the Opposition's charge, Prime Minister Modi began his speech with a slogan of 'unity in diversity, India's specialty'. He also sought a standing ovation for the Parliament for passing the bill. He then proceeded to list his government's various schemes to claim that his administration has not practised any bias in governance.
