‘Development without discrimination’: PM Modi at AMU centenary celebration

PM Modi spoke at the centenary celebration of the Aligarh Muslim University and said that diversity is the strength of the university as well as the nation. He said that AMU library has manuscripts of the Quran and also translations of Ramayana and Gita. PM Modi said that this is the kind of diversity that makes AMU like a mini-India. PM Modi also lauded the role played by the University in strengthening ties with other nations and said that the university should keep increasing its soft power and help in nation building as well. 'In the last 100 years, AMU has also worked to strengthen India's relations with many countries of the world. The research done here on Urdu, Arabic and Persian languages, research on Islamic literature, gives new energy to India's cultural relations with the entire Islamic world,' PM Modi said during his address. PM Modi also said that his government works for all sections without any discrimination and added that nobody will be left behind on the basis of religion.
