Union minister Anurag Thakur commented on the Yes Bank debacle. Thakur, who is Minister of State in Finance Ministry, said that 'a lot of things will emerge', when asked about the beleaguered lender. He said that the government has sought information from the Reserve Bank of India, and the Central Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement Directorate are taking requisite action against the lender's founder, Rana Kapoor. RBI placed a moratorium on Yes Bank on March 5, 2020, and capped withdrawals from all accounts for a period of one month.
