Last month, a man committed suicide in Puducherry after losing lakhs of Rupees in online card games. The incident sparked a controversy with online games involving real money getting caught in the eye of the storm. Saurabh Aggarwal, CEO of Octro Inc, discusses the issue with Hindustan Times senior editor Aditi Prasad. Octro operates PlayRummy which involves the use of real money. Aggarwal says that there is a difference between games of skill and games of chance, and it is the latter which comprise gambling.
