Rising pollution raises serious concerns for Delhi’s winter migratory birds

The National Capital Region is a haven for around 500 species of birds during winters every year. Due to the constant rise in pollution level, the number of birds coming through has come down. Birds are very important for the existence of nature and human beings, experts say. Gauging the current scenario, birders and ecologists worry about possible extinction in the near future.
