‘Sena insulted mandate’: BJP tells Maharashtra Governor it can’t form govt
In a fresh twist in the ongoing political saga in Maharashtra, Bharatiya Janata Party expressed its inability to the Governor to form the government. BJP blamed its pre-poll alliance partner Shiv Sena. Addressing the media, BJP’s Chandrakant Patil said that Sena was ‘disrespecting the people’s mandate’ by blocking formation of the saffron bloc’s government. Meanwhile, a Congress leader warned against a post-poll alliance between the Shiv Sena, Indian National Congress and Nationalist Congress Party. Sanjay Nirupam said that such a tie-up would prove ‘fatal’ for Congress.
