Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad received an iPhone which was 'assembled in India'. The minister tweeted a photograph posing with the phone. He later addressed the media, calling it a proud moment for India. He said that while earlier, iPhones used to carry messages saying 'Designed in California, Assembled in China', now the products would say 'Assembled in India'. He added that the iPhones being manufactured in India would be for the domestic market as well as for export.
