Twenty six militants of United Liberation Front of Asom or ULFA surrendered to the Indian Army in Assam on Tuesday. ULFA rebels surrendered to General Chander Prakash at a surrender ceremony conducted in the district. Militants gave away their arms and ammunitions and got a rose flower in return during the surrender function. The army has now decided to give vocational training to the surrendered militants, which would help them earn their livelihood in future.
