26 ULFA militants surrender in Assam

Twenty six militants of United Liberation Front of Asom or ULFA surrendered to the Indian Army in Assam on Tuesday. ULFA rebels surrendered to General Chander Prakash at a surrender ceremony conducted in the district. Militants gave away their arms and ammunitions and got a rose flower in return during the surrender function. The army has now decided to give vocational training to the surrendered militants, which would help them earn their livelihood in future.
