Annual festival begins in Leh district

Omar Abdullah, chief of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday inaugurated three-day annual 'Sindhu Darshan' festival with traditional grace and gaiety. Abdullah performed the auspicious Buddhist religious rituals with a large number of people witnessing colourful inaugural ceremony held on the bank of famous Indus River. Abdullah emphasized that such festivals promote tourism, which has huge potential in the region.
