Communist likely to tie up with regional BJD

General secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist), Prakash Karat on Sunday welcomed the split in the regional Biju Janata Dal party and the main opposition Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party alliance in Orissa ahead of ensuing state and parliamentary polls. Meanwhile, CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury is to hold talks with BJD chief Naveen Patnaik in Bhubneshwar on a tie up.
