Curfew in Jalandhar over Vienna incident

Curfew has been imposed following clashes between followers of various Dalit bodies and Dera Sachkhand. The violence erupted after firing on Sant Niranjan Dass, head of Dera Sachkhand, in a Gurudwara in Vienna. The protestors pelted stones at vehicles and damaged three buses. Armed with swords, they burned tyres and blocked the roads at various places in the city including Rama Mandi, Garha road and Nakodar Chowk.
