Delhi police to facilitate permission for fast venue: Kejriwal
Social activist Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday affirmed that the Delhi Police had offered help to acquire permission for the venue for Anna Hazare's upcoming indefinite fast, to be held on august 16, demanding a strong anti corruption law. The Delhi police suggested the Jayaprakash Narayan National Park near the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in New Delhi for the protest after he was denied permission to hold the hunger strike at Jantar Mantar. Ahead of a meeting of the core committee to discuss the preparations of the August 16 protest, Kejriwal told mediapersons in Noida, Delhi police would also be helping the activists acquire permission for the proposed venue.
