Drying bed of the Ganges

Even though it's the festive season and devotees throng Haridwar to take a dip in the holy Ganga river but the pilgrimages are rather aghast on seeing the dried Ganga. What further adds to the miseries is that the level of tourists and pilgrimages has gone down, thus affecting the business of the local shopkeepers to a great extent, which has turned the business class against the policies of the administration.
