Economic blockade in Manipur continues

With no end in sight to the ongoing economic blockade, locals in Manipur continue to reel from shortages of essential commodities. Residents here have been forced to live on near empty stomachs since the past three months due to the ongoing economic embargo. However, the blockade supporters have warned that their strike could be intensified if the government fails to meet the demand of Sadar Hill District Demand Committee (SHDDC) to create a separate district of Sadar Hills.
