Former Bangladeshi PM arrested

The police have arrested former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, after a two-and-a half-hour raid on her house in Dhaka, involving thousands of policemen. She was later brought to a court with heavy security. It was not immediately known on what charges she was detained, but the police have said that she faces charges of extortion and taking bribes during her 1996-2001 term.
