Gilani accepts Manmohan's invitation to watch semi-final

Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday accepted his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh's invitation to watch the World Cup semi-final after a two hour long meeting with Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday night. Cricket diplomacy has brought thaw many times in the strained relations between both the nations bringing the late president Zia-ul Haq and former president Pervez Musharraf to watch cricket matches in India. Ahead of the India-Pakistan World Cup semifinal tie, New and Renewable Energy Minister and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar on Saturday said the meeting of Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the match would soften the ties between the two nations.
