Govt to tell how it will ensure CBI’s independence by July 10: SC

Even as it rapped the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the probe into the coal blocks allocation scam, by calling it a caged parrot, the Supreme Court on Wednesday set a deadline of 10 July to the government to tell how it plans to ensure the CBI's independence.
