Indian coastline lighthouses to get radars

Director General of the Coast Guard, Vice Admiral Anil Chopra on Thursday said that in order to increase maritime security and minimise infiltration from the sea route, the Indian Coast Guard would have radars fitted at all the lighthouses along the country's coastline. Speaking to the media on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Indian Coast Guard, Chopra said that along with the radars, cameras and AIS systems would also be fitted on the lighthouses.
