Muslim clerics vent their ire on Sarkozy's veil remarks

Muslim clerics belonging to the Shia sect in Lucknow city on Tuesday, expressed their displeasure at the French President Sarkozy terming the burqa as an index of subjugating women. Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi, a Lucknow-based senior Shia Muslim cleric said that Muslims must be given complete freedom to practice their religion.
