Rahman Rahi receives Jnanpith Award

Kashmir's eminent poet Rahman Rahi received the country's highest literary award for his contribution to Indian literature on Thursday. Rahi was conferred the Jnanpith award by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at a function organised in New Delhi. He became the first person from Indian Kashmir to receive the honour.
