Students irrespective of their religion learn Sanskrit

Sanskrit, believed to be a sacred language, is still being taught in many schools in India, like in Durga Charan Girls School in Sonarpura region of Varanasi located in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. Here it is no longer taught only for liturgical purpose. Students irrespective of their religious backgrounds learn the sacred language as part of their curriculum.
