Transporters call off strike in Kashmir

Tourists and locals in Kashmir took a sigh of relief as the four day long transporters' strike ended on Thursday. Transporters called off the strike over fuel price hike after a deal with the provincial government to raise passenger fares by 14 per cent. The strike had crippled life in the state since Monday and hundreds of tourists were left stranded.
