Tribes in India still follow age-old custom of polyandry

The age-old practice of polyandry still exists in Kinnaur, a tribal district in Himachal Pradesh, where brothers of one family marry the same woman to stop division of ancestral property. According to a tribal from one of the villages in Kinnaur, this social custom is still in vogue not only as a tradition but also for economic reasons.
