ULFA Vice Chairman urges for peace talks with central govt

, March 11(ANI): Speaking to media persons in Assam on Wednesday Pradip Gogoi, Vice Chairman of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) favoured peace talks with the central government to resolve the insurgency in Assam. Gogoi, who was arrested during an operation in Kolkata city, was released after 12 years on March 04. Assam chief Tarun Gogoi is eager to hold peace talks with ULFA, but has ruled out their main demand for sovereignty.
