Villagers in UP decide to boycott polls

Peeved at the shortage of power and other civic amenities, residents of Banthara, a village in India's northern Uttar Pradesh, have decided to boycott the upcoming parliamentary polls. Reportedly, they have also resolved not let any politician or party representatives enter their village. Incidentally, the village, located just 22 kilometres away from Lucknow, is on the outskirts of a radar tracking station of Indian Air Force.
