'Insult To Sanatan': BJP Up In Arms As Congress Plays Safe On DMK MP’s ‘Gaumutra States’ Barb

DMK MP DNV Senthilkumar kicked up a massive political storm by saying that the BJP wins only in “Gaumutra states”, a reference to the saffron party’s sweep in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. BJP called it an insult to Hindus as gaumutra or cow urine is deemed sacred by many in the Hindu culture. Congress distanced itself from the remarks, saying it does not endorse the DMK MP’s opinion.
