India has accused Canada of holding New Delhi guilty in the Nijjar row “even without an investigation”. Canada has alleged India’s role in the assassination of Khalistani radical and Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June 2023. Nijjar was wanted in India and the government had even designated him as a terrorist. The bilateral relations which tanked after the allegations have only been improving steadily in recent weeks.
