Jaishankar meets Russia's Sergey Lavrov on sidelines of G20 meet amid tussle over Ukraine war stand

Close allies and strategic partners India and Russia hold bilateral talks. India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in New Delhi on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers' meeting. EAM Jaishankar tweeted that they "exchanged views on our bilateral cooperation and G20 issues." Before the talks, the Russian ministry said that Moscow supports India in its G20 presidency and its commitment to promoting a unifying agenda that will restore confidence in multilateral diplomacy and prevent the fragmentation of the global economy.
