Akasa Air is finally in the Indian skies with its first flight between Mumbai-Ahmedabad taking off this morning. The flight of India's newest airline was inaugurated by Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya M Scindia. The airline's strategy is focused on establishing a strong pan-India presence by providing linkages from metro to tier-2 and tier-3 cities across the country. As the 'greenest' airline enters India's aviation market, the expectations are high from the ultra low-cost carrier.
