The Indian Navy has revived a training area at Jammu and Kashmir's Manasbal Lake in Ganderbal district. Officials said that the facility in central Kashmir was excellent for the naval training of NCC in J&K. However, due to deteriorating security situation back then, the site had to be abandoned in 1989. The training areas were then shifted to the Mansar Lake in Jammu. After a gap of 33 years and since the security situation has improved in J&K, as per officials, Indian Navy will provide training to NCC cadets here again. Watch this video for more details.
