‘Not the only Nat’l language': Sumalatha jumps into Sudeep Vs Devgn Hindi war

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn recently triggered a major row with his comments that Hindi is India's national language. The comments triggered a faceoff between Ajay Devgn and Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep on Twitter. Cutting across the party lines and ideological divide, politicians and actors in Karnataka came out in defence of Sudeep and rejected the assertion that Hindi is the national language of India. Actor and Lok Sabha MP Sumalatha Ambareesh is the latest to disagree with Ajay Devgn. In an interview to Hindustan Times, she said that Hindi is one of the national languages of India like Kannada and not just the only national language.
